1-Year Manufacturing Warranty

1-Year Manufacturing Warranty

Jewelry made for everyday wear should be made to last. That’s why Rapunzille jewelry is backed by our 1-Year Manufacturing Warranty.

Our warranty covers genuine manufacturing faults that become apparent within 1 year from the date your order is delivered.

The Short Version

Our warranty covers faults caused by the manufacture or assembly of your jewelry.

It does not cover accidental damage, loss unrelated to a manufacturing fault, general wear and tear, improper use or care, product build-up, or routine maintenance adjustments.

These conditions apply to our voluntary warranty and do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable mandatory consumer laws.

Our Quality Checks

Every piece of Rapunzille jewelry is quality checked before dispatch, with photos and video recorded as part of our quality-control process.

These records help us assess the condition of your jewelry before shipping and review any concerns you raise. All warranty claims are individually assessed, including manufacturing faults that may become apparent after delivery.

What Is Covered

Manufacturing faults may include:

  • A stone becoming loose or falling out because of a manufacturing fault.

  • A post, thread, hinge or clasp failing because of a manufacturing fault.

  • A chain or jewelry component separating because of a manufacturing fault.

  • A component failing because it was incorrectly manufactured or assembled.

All warranty claims are individually assessed by our team to determine whether the issue is consistent with a manufacturing fault.

Regular Care and Maintenance

Please regularly clean your jewelry and check that closures and push-pin tops remain secure, following our care and maintenance guidance below.

Damage or loss caused by failure to carry out appropriate regular care and maintenance is not covered by our manufacturing warranty. An unrelated manufacturing fault remains covered.

This condition does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable mandatory consumer laws.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • General wear and tear.

  • Scratches, dents, marks or cosmetic changes caused by everyday wear.

  • Accidental damage, including jewelry that has been dropped, crushed, bent, pulled or snagged.

  • Damage caused by mishandling, incorrect installation or incorrect removal.

  • Routine adjustments to click-closure alignment or threadless push-pin tension required because of use or handling, where no manufacturing fault is present.

  • Lost jewelry or components, including earrings, charms, stones, flat back tops, posts or backs, unless the loss resulted from a covered manufacturing fault.

  • Damage or loss caused by improper care or failure to regularly clean and maintain jewelry.

  • Build-up from skincare, hair products, makeup, body products, soaps, natural oils or other substances.

  • Damage caused by harsh chemicals, abrasive products or inappropriate cleaning methods.

  • Natural wear to plating or finishes over time.

  • Damage caused by third-party alterations, repairs or modifications.

  • Sizing or fit preferences unrelated to a manufacturing fault.

  • How jewelry sits due to individual ear or piercing anatomy.

  • Piercing irritation, healing complications or other piercing-related outcomes.

Your Warranty Period

The warranty runs for 1 year from the date your order is delivered.

If an item is repaired or replaced under this warranty, it carries the remaining warranty period of the original item rather than beginning a new 1-year warranty period.

This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer laws, which may continue beyond our warranty period.

Making a Warranty Claim

Think you’ve found a manufacturing fault? Our team is happy to take a look.

Please email hello@rapunzille.com with:

  • Your order number or other proof of purchase.

  • The name of the affected piece.

  • A brief description of the issue.

  • Clear photographs and a video showing the jewelry, the affected area and the issue.

Depending on the issue, we may request additional photographs or videos to help assess your claim. Please contact us before arranging any repairs.

Replacements and Claim Expenses

For approved manufacturing warranty claims, we will generally send a replacement piece at no cost to you, including shipping.

We generally assess claims using photographs and videos, so you will not usually need to return the affected piece. If a return is necessary for assessment, we will provide instructions and cover reasonable return postage costs.

Please contact us before posting anything so we can arrange postage. If we ask you to pay return postage upfront, email your postage receipt and order number to hello@rapunzille.com so we can reimburse the reasonable cost.

This process does not limit any right to a refund or other remedy under applicable consumer laws.

Mandatory Jewelry Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and occasional fit adjustments help keep your jewelry comfortable, secure and looking its best.

Cleaning Your Jewelry

  • Gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth after wear.

  • For pieces suitable for washing, use lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap. Gently remove build-up, rinse thoroughly and dry completely before wearing or storing.

  • Avoid prolonged soaking, particularly for pieces with pearls, delicate stones or glued components. Contact us if you are unsure which method suits your piece.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive cleaners and vigorous rubbing.

  • Use polishing cloths only where suitable for the material and finish. Avoid abrasive polishing on plated jewelry.

  • Store your jewelry clean and dry, with pieces separated to reduce scratching and tangling.

These instructions are for cleaning the jewelry itself. Follow your piercer’s aftercare advice for healing piercings.

Click-Closure Post Adjustments

The small post that clicks into an earring’s clasp can sometimes move slightly out of alignment through use, pressure or mishandling, affecting how securely the earring clicks shut.

This can often be easily fixed with a slight adjustment to realign the post. Where no manufacturing fault is present, this is considered maintenance and is not covered by our manufacturing warranty.

Contact us for guidance before adjusting the post. Do not force the closure or repeatedly bend it, as this can damage the mechanism.

This adjustment guidance applies to the click-closure post, not stone-setting prongs. Stones and their settings remain subject to our manufacturing-fault coverage.

Threadless Push-Pin Adjustments

Threadless push-pin flat backs rely on a slight bend in the pin to create tension inside the post and hold the decorative top securely in place.

The pin’s tension may need adjusting after insertion, removal or handling. A fit that has become too loose or too tight can often be corrected with a small adjustment to the pin.

Where the issue is caused by a change in tension through use or handling, rather than incorrect manufacture or assembly, this is considered maintenance and is not covered by our manufacturing warranty.

Contact us or a professional piercer for guidance before making an adjustment. Do not sharply bend the pin, repeatedly bend it back and forth, or force the top into the post.

Check Your Jewelry Before Wear

Check that closures are secure and push-pin tops are firmly seated before wearing your jewelry.

If anything feels loose, damaged or difficult to close, stop wearing the piece and contact us for assistance.

Worldwide Coverage and Your Consumer Rights

Our 1-Year Manufacturing Warranty is available to Rapunzille customers worldwide.

This warranty is an additional benefit and does not replace, exclude or limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase, including under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable laws in your country of residence.

Your statutory rights may provide remedies beyond this warranty’s 1-year period or coverage. Where any warranty condition conflicts with mandatory applicable law, that law will prevail.
